Outlook 2007 - Removes Existing Signature when New Signature Inserted

D

David F.

Moved from prior outlook versions to OL2007. I use signatures to contain
predefined text which has worked fine in prior versions. With OL2007 it
deletes the prior signature before inserting one (I may need to combine
multiple signatures to answer multiple questions). How to I prevent it from
doing that (couldn't find the option).

TIA!!

Don't abuse the signature feature for inserting text block; it hasn't been
designed for this purpose.

Quick Parts (and in previous versions AutoText) should be used for this.

quickparts?

Anyway, I'd like a drop down list of items to choose from like I've always
done it. I don't want to have to memorize anything.

Quick Parts; it's on the Insert tab. It also features a dropdown list with
your building blocks to choose from. If you use it a lot, you can also add
it to the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) by right clicking on it and choose to
add it to the QAT.

A short intro for the Quick Parts feature can be found here;

thanks - how do you edit them when you need to change things (without having
to remember the name to save it back to)?

how about getting rid of the preview so I don't have to scroll to get to the
one I want ?

1) That's the "modifying" part in the guide I referred to. There is no
direct editor for existing blocks.
2) Add the Building Blocks organizer to your QAT;

-Create a new message
-Office logo at the left top-> Editor Options-> section Customize
-Drop down list; Commands Not in the Ribbon
-Select Building Blocks Organizer-> Add
