Outlook 2007 "Operation timed out waiting for a response" message

My Microsoft Outlook 2007 was working perfectly fine until a few days ago
when it kept coming up with an error message stating that the operation timed
out waiting for a response from the receiving POP server.

I've deleted the account several times from outlook yet the problem still
persists.

Anyone have any ideas?

Would appreciate it greatly!!
 
Disable any email antivirus integration and any add-ins that might be
blocking contact with the server. Increase the server timeout in the
properties for that account.
