Outlook 2007 opens ONLY in Safe Mode

last week the power went out at my house. My computer was on and Outlook
2007 was running. Ever since then, Outlook will not open as normal. It will
go to the blue screen with the yellow box saying Outlook 2007, but willl go
no further, even after sitting there for hours. The only way to close the
program is to Ctrl+Alt+Del. I can only open it in safe mode. Any
suggestions?

Close Outlook. Run scanpst.exe against your PST to see if it needs repairs.
First you'll want to unhide hidden files and folders, use Windows Explorer
to do this. You'll also want to be able to view known file extensions (same
place in Windows Explorer).
Then do a search for scanpst.exe. When you find it, double-click it and
follow the instructions. It'll ask you to browse to your PST. You should know
where it is, if not then do a file search for it too.
Run scanpst.exe against the PST file. If it comes up with errors, when it's
finished running do it again. Run it repeatedly until it finds no further
errors.
Then open Outlook. Good luck, let me know how you make out.

Found 3 .pst files: archive, archive1, and outlook.pst. Scan on all, fixed
errors. Outlook still would not open. Had to Ctrl+Alt+Del to close and open
again in safe mode.

Created a new profile and set-up Outlook to open using new profile, but no
luck. Outlook freezes on opening/welcome screen. Will still only open in
safe mode.
