Running Outlook 2007 on a Vista machine.

Started having trouble today opening Outlook. It would not open. Tried
seveal times. Rebooted machine and then tried it. Still would not open. But
it did ask me if I wanted to open Outlook in the "Safe Mode". I did open it
that way.

It said that I could fix what ever is wrong with Outlook by doing this.
Well, I don't know what is wrong so how can I fix it even if it is in Safe
Mode.

It seems to be working fine in safe mode. What can i do to figure out whuy
it will not open in regular mode??

thanks

CG:

Yes I got it fixed but for the life of me I do not remember how I did it.
As you can see by this posting, I go no help or suggestions.

I opened it in Safe mode and worked it a while.

I then shut everything down and did not open Outlook for a day or so.

Then when I finally opened it, everyting was working.

Bizzaar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bob, I keep getting this too. Although mine usually never will open in even
the safe mode. What's the deal, did you get your problem resolved. I have
an older Outlook version, does that have anything to do with it?
Reply if you can,

Mary:

Like I said in my previous post, I don't have a clue as to how i did it.
I wish I knew what I did and I would post it.

Have you tried scanpst.exe??

Don't know if your PST file is corrupt.

Try the following:

1. Right click on your Outlook icon
2. Select "Open File Location"
3. Scroll down to find SCANPST.EXE
4. Double click SCANPST.EXE and follow the instructions

I can't say if this will fix the problem or not. It is one of the things I
tried but can't be sure it fixed it. I did so many things that day I don;t
know what did it.

Good Luck!!
