Outlook 2007 - missing new email notification

My Outlook 2007 is set up to show popup window and sound notification
when new email has arrived. It worked well until I changed my gmail
account from POP into IMAP settings.

Outlook handle with Gmail IMAP well, I noticed this issue just before
a while. Maybe it can be caused by a fact, that notification is made
to inform me just when new email come into default Outlook Inbox
folder and not into Gmail Inbox folder.

Can it be the cause? How can I solve this?

Does anybody have some useful idea?

That is a useful idea. IMAP accounts don't support the features you desire,
so if you want them you must use an account type that supports them.

Dont they support that? I didnt know this. Hmm. So there is no way how to
make this work on IMAO, right?

Sorry I missed the beginning of the thread. If you want Outlook to
give you a main notification to a folder other than the default one, I
can help.

I am also looking for a solution to this problem. Thanks!
Me too. I just found that Gmail is working very well with Outlook 2007 and IMAP. I believe the problem is also that notifications are set to the default Outlook Inbox. Also, Gmail mentions in their setup page to setup your client to save Drafts to the correct folder. There seems to be no way to change the location of the folders...

It used to pop up in Outlook 2003, but I can't get it to in 2007. I have all
the setting correct (I think) and if you have a solution, why didn't you post
it?
