I cant seem to get the junk email filter to save my preferences. As soon as I
close Outlook and re-open it the saved preferences are gone. I have the junk
emial filter set to low and as soon as I close and re-open it has set back to
High. Also evertime I save someone in safe senders, the filter decides on its
own to never obey. The junk email filter continues to mark itmes as junk when
they have been saved as Safe. Please help this is driving me mad.
Thank you

For which kind of mail account? If you have also a Hotmail account in your
mail profile, it will also retrieve your settings as you have it configured
at Hotmail.

Hi Roady,

It is for an IMAP account with Google. I have checked the settings there and
they dont reflect what is going on in Outlook.

Is it just the filter level that gets reset or are safe/blocked lists also
reset after a restart?
Are you sure the item is being marked as Junk by Outlook and not by Google?

The filter level gets reset to High and the filter seems to ignore the safe
list or doenst end up adding and saving the addresses I give it. They are
only being maked as junk by Outlook. I have double checked Google and the
mail is fine there.

Is there any help for this, or am I on my own to just deal with it? I find
this a little odd that Outlook wont even save the addresses I add to safe
senders. Well its selective, but even the ones it saves it ignores them
sometimes and still sends them to Junk.
