Outlook 2007 in an Office 2000 environment

I'v got a question from a customer if it's possible to use/install Outlook
2007 in an existing Office 2000 environment.
(they have Office 2000 installed today, but without the Outlook-client)
Are there any known issues of installing Office 2007 components together
with older versions of Office?

Presumably the o/s supports 2007?
The MS reccomendation is to install earlier version first, into a version
specific folder, then update - Office, from 2002 installs to version
specific folders by default, Office2k does not.

So assuming office2k was installed to its default, I'm unsure as to whether
there would be any issues by then installing OL2007 - by default it will
install to Office 12 folder
If office2k was installed to a version specific folder eg Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office2k\ there shouldnt be any issues
