OUTLOOK 2007 Freezes (Initial connection & Radom reconnection)

We are using Outlook 2007 SP1 on Windows XP SP3, connecting to Exchange 2007
remotely via RPC/HTTPS. The initial connection takes almost 5 minutes to
fully connect to exchange and during that connection Outlook is completely
frozen until connections are fully established.

Outllook is also freezing time to time (at least 4 times a day) when it's
reconnecting the TYPE Referral on the Microsoft Exchange Connection Status.
I'm not even sure what is TYPE Referral is and why it's lossing its
connection. I'm considering on downgrading my users to Outlook 2003 if I
can't find a solution right away. I appreciate all the help I can get on
resolving this issue with Outlook 2007.

Thank you.

FYI.....I am seeing the same thing with Outlook 2003 clients. Additionally,
when user is set to use RPC/HTTPS and we check connection status......we
still have TCP/IP connections showing for Directory. Doing some internal
testing and then plan on opening a case.
