Outlook 2007 Error - Plain Text Emails Centered

F

Fischer, Markus

Hi all,

currently I am having a problem using Outlook 2007 regarding plain text mails.

All plain text mails are displayed centered regardless if it is a new one or
from the inbox and sometimes they are even displayed blank. RTF and HTML is
displayed as expected (and formated).

I know that there is a setting tools - options - mail format - stationery
and fonts -> composing and reading plain text messegaes - but there is no
setting reagarding the alignment.

The only think I did is to add another signature (I also have removed it to
proove that there is no side-effect with that) and to install an update of
Windows Live Writer.

Is there any setting / way / workaround to reset the display and to achive
that plain text mails are displayed correct?

Thanks in advice!
Cheers
Markus

I am having the same difficulty. The only posting I can find is your
question. Have you found an answer to the problem yet? I have gone to the
obvious sources. However, all plain text email (incoming and outgoing) is
centered. It is quite annoying since much of my incomming is from employees
with Blackberry's.

Thanks in advance!

Since Outlook 2007 uses Word for all message display, I suspect the
NormalEmail.dotx template has centering selected as the default. See if you
can locate that file and delete it.

I too am having the same issue and can't find any solution.
Unfortunatly I can't find a 'normalemail.dotx' file to remove...
Any other ideas?
or has anyone else found a solution?
Thanks

This thread is ancient but it was the first result in my google search just now so I thought I'd post a solution I just found on a Microsoft forum that worked for me:

Try this...
new message
Go to Format Text tab
Right-click on Normal in Styles gallery and choose Modify
In the Modify dialog box, change the alignment to left and then choose the option 'New documents based on this template'.
Click OK
