Outlook 2007 - Create Rule

When I recieve email messages from friends / clients I automatically send
them to different files in outlook, however, I seem to be limited to the
number of times I can apply it, my question is how can I increase the number
of rules that I apply without deleting other rules of this type

Uhhh, what is happening to make you think that there is a limit? I mean,
yes, there are limits here and there, but without knowing what is actually
happening to you, I couldn't even hazard a guess. I mean, every single rule
you have could apply to a single message, so long as none of the rules have
a 'Stop processing more rules' action which, not suprisingly, makes sure
that no other rules lower in the list run against the message that fired
the rule.

When I add a new rule for an e-mail alert and try to relocate it, the
following message is recieved
"One or more rules cannot be uploaded to Micrsoft Exchange and have been
deactivated. This could be because some of the parameters are not supported,
or there is sufficient space to store all of your rule"

I think it is the latter due to the amount of rules that I have applied.

How many rules do you have?

As a workaround, you might want to try something that would make the rule
client side so it wouldn't be uploaded to the server. Might work, might not.

Outlook 2007 does increase the amount of space you can have for rules, but
if you aren't running Exchange 2007, you won't really be able to take advantage
of it.

I'm under the impression that even client-side rules are stored in the
mailbox.
