I run Outlook 2007 on Vista 64 Machines. Today I had all users shut
down their computers to do an upgrade to my server. The Outlook file
was saved to C:\Users\(Name)\Documents\EMAIL\Outlook.pst. Which I just
realized to be a bad place because roaming profiles sync's this folder
as well. So when everyone logged off, everything seemed to be OK, but
when 2 users went to log back on they got an error message when trying
to open Outlook.
Errors have been detected in the file C:\Users\(Name)\Documents\EMAIL
\Outlook.pst. Quit Outlook and all mail-enabled applications, and then
use the Inbox repair tool (Scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors
in the file. For more information about the Inbox repair tool, see
Help.
I tried to run the Scanpst.exe, but it does not fix the file very well
and I am missing most folders & emails, all contact, messy calendar,
etc.
Does anyone have any idea how I can fix my files?
Thanks,
