Outlook 2007 Inbox Needs Repair

When trying to sort my inbox by received (date), I get the following message:
Errors have been detected in the file c:\documents and settings\lori\local
settings\application data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst. Quit outlook and
all mail enabled applications and then use the Inbox Repair Tool
(Scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file. For more
information about the inbox repair tool, see Help. OK

I don't have the outlook.pst file.

What PST files are in that directory if Outlook.PST isn't?

Sorry, but you'll have to walk me through this. Where is the directory?

I searched my entire hard drive (c) and there isn't anything with .pst

You need to turn on the viewing of hidden files/folders. Open a My Computer
window: Tools menu > Folder options command > View tab. The option should be
there...
