MS Office Outlook 2007 on Vista

Hi, I'm running Outlook 2007 on a Vista w/ ervice Pack 1. I get the following
msg when i try to open it:
Cannot start MS Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of
folders cannot be opened. Errors have been detected in the file
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst Quit Outlook and all
mail-enabled applications, and then use the Inbox repair tool (Scanpst.exe)
to diagnose and repair errors in the file. For more info blah blah blah..."

Scanpst.exe does NOT work, neither does outlook.exe /safe or outlook.exe
/resetnavpane.
The files are actually located where they are supposed to be. What should I
try next?? Thanks!!
