Outlook 2007 and Reminder Error

I am using OL2007 and I had a problem with my .pst file. I ran scanpst and
fixed the corrupted .pst file.
Now, when I open OL, I get a reminder that I cannot dismiss or open. I
looked through my calendar and cannot find an instance of a reminder for this
event...is there a way to 'permanently' delete this reminder so I don't have
to dismiss every time I open OL?

Thanks,
TC

Try opening Outlook with the /cleanreminders switch:

Start > Run > outlook.exe /cleanreminders
(note the space between outlook.exe and /cleanreminders)

If you use Vista, the command is basically the same but you use Start Search
instead of Run.

In addition, if scanpst.exe fixed errors in your PST file did you run it
again to make sure there were no further errors for it to repair? When using
scanpst.exe, it's best to run it repeatedly if it finds errors until you
have a run through where none are found.

Thanks Kathleen...I'll try it and let you know.

Hi Kathleen,
Well, I reran scanpst.exe twice and no more errors in my pst file,
however, even after doing this and running it with the /cleanreminders
switch...the reminder is still popping up every time I open OL2007.
Any other ideas I could try?
Thanks in advance.

You could try and find the problem reminder or you could create a new PST
and drag and drop everything into it but your calendar, and try to recreate
your bookings. Or drag everything but that one reminder in.

If you're connecting to an Exchange server (usually used in business or
schools/universities), you can use the /cleanfreebusy switch.
