How to delete 3000 Outlook reminders that won't go away?

Approximately 1 out of every 5 times that I open Outlook 2007, I get over
3000 reminders that I have dismissed in the past. When I use the 'dismiss
all' function, it bogs down and fails.

Is there a way to mass update/delete reminders?

You might try scanpst.exe, the repair tool, on your data file (with outlook
closed)
I've had a similar problem a couple of times, though in my case closing OL,
then reopening the issue went away

Thanks. I'll try it and see if it helps.

In addition to what DL said, you should try starting Outlook once with the
/cleanreminders command switch. Click Start>Run and in the Open field type

outlook.exe /cleanreminders

Be sure to include the space. Click OK.
