Outlook 2007 Address Book

B

Barry

Ok. However, as I said previously, I can not open any of these files. How do
I open theses files and then how do I import the address book data into
Outlook 2007?

I already told you how. Repeating: Use Outlook's File > Open > Outlook Data
File... menu item. Then copy any information you need from that file into
your current one.

Doing this gives me nothing more than I already had. When I selected the menu
item, the screen that I was typing on disappears and Outlook appears. My
inbox and sent box were loaded complete as they have been, but the address
book is still only listing the nine names as before and still without any
email address'.

Your post makes no sense. State more clearly what you are doing and why you
think it would have anything to do with your address book view. Nothing will
appear in your address book view until you configure that view correctly.
Read the information I've posted. You have all the information you need.

:

The names of the files are as follows: archive, Outlook, Outlook1,
Personal
Folders (1), Outlook. The in folder column is listed as follows: The
first
4
are C:\Documents and Settings\Barry... The last one is the same but
it
is
under my wife's name. Item 2 and 3 are the biggest in size. Item 2
is
just
under one million KB and item 3 is just over one million KB. The
others
are
all under 1000 KB

Then Item 2, outlook.pst, is the one that holds all your data.

When I click on the File button >Open>Open Data File> a list of four files
comes up - Archives, Outlook, Outlook1, Personal Folders (1). If I click on
items 2,3,4 the only thing that appears is the Outlook Today page with the
calendar header and today's date on the left, the tasks header in the middle
and my messages header showing how many messages I have on the right. The
area where I can select the individual mail boxes is on the far left (left
of the calender header).

If I were to choose item 1 I get one very old email that goes back to 2004.

You are the only one who can find and open the correct data file. You are
the only one who knows the name and location of the data file you were using
before or who would have made a backup of that file. We can't do that part
for you.
