Outlook 2003

This is sometimes just a glitch in the servers, very common with web mail
like Hotmail. With POP mail it could be because you have "leave messages on
the server" checked and every time you check for mail, it downloads the same
messages. Or it could be just your ISP's server's fault.
 
It is happening just recently on 2 out of 350 users and their web mail is
fine. Both laptops are running xp and has the newest ms office 2003 patches.

Have you applied Office 2003 SP1? One of the issues addressed in that was,
I believe, duplicate mail messages.
