I just upgraded a user to O2K3 and now each time he
clicks on a web link that's in an email, a new IE window
opens. He says that with the bug tools he's using he
winds up with dozens of IE windows open sometimes. I
had him check in IE and make certain "reuse windows for
launching shortcuts" is checked, and it is. Is there a
setting in outlook for this?
Outlook xp did not have this "feature." Does anyone know
how to set outlook 2003 to not open new windows?

No....... as outlook has never opened hyperlinks with in its self. I passes
the file type to IE or your default browser.
Check to see if he is running nortons as it has been known to "participate"
in debugging errors
