Outlook 2003 won't allow HTML email account

I have a fresh installation of Outlook 2003. When I try to create a new email
account to check Hotmail, the check box is grayed out. I have previously
checked email this way.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hotmail is no longer available in Outlook. You were "grandfathered" in to
Hotmail with your old acct. Use your web browser to access Hotmail or Live
Mail--the new beta version.

This is not true...you can access Hotmail through Outlook, but only if you
pay for the Expanded Hotmail. Free Hotmail accounts are not supported in
Outlook anymore. It says so on the link you put in your reply.
