Outlook 2003 will not run on new Vista machine

I have migrated my Office Professional 2003 programs to my new Vista
computer. it seems that all of the other office programs are working properly
but I cannot get the Outlook 2003 to load. I keep getting an error message
telling me that the program is not responding. Same thing happens when I try
to load in Safe Mode. What am I missing?

Was there a previous install of Outlook on that machine? A demo perhaps?

Did you first uninstall any trial of Office?
And how did you migrate?
And if you insert your Office cd/dvd are you then presented with the option
to run a repair?

No I didn't. I think I'll try that. Forgot to do that.
I migrated by using Move Me.
Yes I am offered that option. it has run successfully several times.
But first I think I'll uninstall lt he Office 2007 trial.

I went and deleted all references to the trial version of Office 2007 came
installed on the computer. i am still getting the "not responding" condition
when I try to load it. This happens in both regular and safe mode. I have run
the repair several times even after I uninstalled promo program. What can I
try next?

I had same problem - if MAPI32.DLL error appears, then - go to
www.msoutlook.info/question/137 - this tool helped me solve. If you can't get
it from this, then you go to www.msoutlook.info, under the search, type in
MAPI32.dll error and it will take you there and follow the directions.
