outlook 2003 and 2007 is "not responding"

I have a new Dell laptop with Vista home premium. I installed Outlook 2003,
then migrated data (contacts, calendar) from an IPAQ handheld using Windows
Mobile Device. Whenever I try to use Outlook 2003, it hangs and I get the
message "not responding." I installed Outlook 2007, but the same thing
happens. No problems with the rest of the Office package, such as Word,
Excel, etc. Any ideas?

If you have an issues with a current installation upgrading to a new version
won't automagically cure those issues.

D you do a clean install or did you leave everything pre-installed? If the
latter uninstall the software called "OutlookAddin." It is made by Cyberlink
for Dell and it is known to cause a lot more issues then just this. It
causes a lot of performance overhead as well.
