synchronize outlook with mobile device center

Hey,

This is really frustrating me. I really want to synchronize my Smartphone
(Sprint HTC Mogul) with my Outlook 2007. I have Windows Vista Home Premium
installed with Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 and want to synchronize my
calendar, contacts, tasks, etc. However, the problem is that Mobile Device
Center repeatedly says that Outlook is not installed so I cannot check the
content (calendar, tasks, etc) to synchronize.

I do not know what to do; I have SP1 installed for both Vista and Office
2007 and have the most recent version of Mobile Device Center; I also have
all other Microsoft Updates and have tried reinstalling Mobile Device Center
multiple times, to no avail.

Any ideas?

you are sure you have Outlook 2007 installed?
Not all office packages have Outlook like Office 2007 for Student edition
doesn't have outlook or access
