Outlook 2003 w/Connector: How to Make Hotmail Outlook Today Defaul

Hello. I am running Outlook 2003 w/Outlook Connector. My main mailbox was on
an exchange server but I've left that job so now I want to switch my Hotmail
account to be the main account and, most importantly, to show up as the data
on Outlook Today. I've tried editing the paths in the registry and it hasn't
worked. Thanks.

did you try tools, accounts, change existing accounts, select the Mool
account's pst to be default for delivery?

Thanks a lot, Diane. I tried setting (e-mail address removed) as my default
account and then (e-mail address removed) as my delivery location and the got
the following error. I'm afraid to disable offline files because I don't want
to lose my exchange mail.

"The personal Folders file (.pst) you selected does not match the format of
your offline folder file (.ost). To correct this, select a PST that supports
Unicode or disable the use of offline files."

it looks like something changed since I last tested that option - I
discovered it when checking on a different connector bug in OL2002 and it
worked, now it's using the msn account to send unless I select another
account.

Alt+N, then the number of the account will help quickly choose the right
sending account - do it as soon as you open the new mail message
beforetyping in the recipient and it'll become second nature in no time.
Replies use the correct account, so it's only needed for new mail.

BTW - a second method to use for new mail is to create a template with the
account selected - then assign it as a hyperlink in your toolbar. If you
aren't familiar with templates or hyperlinks
(http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/20030805.htm), I'll add step by step
information on how to do this to my MOOL page at
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/mool.htm within the next couple of hours.
