Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007

How can I import my old emails and address book from my old email program
(Outlook 2003) to my new one (Outlook 2007). This would seem to be a no
brainer but it isn't. If I'd been using Outlook Express or Eudora it would
be easy. Doesn't anyone else retain emails for records?
