Outlook 2003 stays in Memory

I upgraded from Office 2003 BETA to release. Windows XP
Pro on Sony Vaio. Despite reinstalling three times and
trying to wipe out all evidence of Office in the
registry, when Outlook is closed Outlook.exe stays in
memory and refuses to load a second time. Only solution
is to use task manager and kill Outlook.exe. Any ideas on
what to try????

Look for third party applications that tie to Outlook. (e.g. WinFax,
ActiveSync, .etc)

With Office 2003 Beta, if I closed Outlook the icon disappeared from the
system tray regardless of whether or not my PocketPC was docked in the
cradle (i.e. ActiveSync was active). With the released version of Office
2003, if my PocketPC is docked and I close Outlook, the Outlook icon remains
in the system tray but Outlook is not accessible using that icon.
