There's no useful help on this subject so I'm asking here.
On a peer-to-peer LAN, Outlook 2003 on the Workstations, I've
installed some rules to help make message management simpler.
Basically, I'd like a message from a specific sender to be sent to a
related message folder.
So, I build a rule. And everything goes peachy-keen except that for
some malevolent reason, Outlook adds "Only on this machine" to each
and EVERY rule created. This of course prevents the rule from
carrying out the desired action. Remove this "clause?" and the rule
works. But it's a major PITA to have to create the rule, then go back
into the rule and expunge the automatically inserted monkey wrench
rule clause in order to get the rule to perform.
Does anyone know of a fix?
I've also built some rules for the "Sent Items" folder. They don't
work unless run manually. What I wanted to do was move the reply to
the related folder based on addressee.
Unfortunately, the rules don't work on the BCC: addressees. Will they
ever?
Hoping...
