Outlook 2003 repetitive emails

Hey everyone,

For some reason, especially since the last 2 weeks, my Office Outlook keeps
downloading the same emails twice, three times and sometimes more. Unless I
get into my ISP server and delete all emails from it they eventually all come
back. My ISP confirmed the problem wasn't with them (which is Bell Canada)
but with Microsoft Outlook 2003 in which I am using. Is there anyone who can
help me with this ridiculous problem? Thanks.

Is your antivirus software integrated with Outlook? For example, does it
actively scan incoming and outgoing emails for viruses? This could be the
culprit. Disable the feature (or disable the service) and see if that clears
the issue up. If it does, uninstall your antivirus and then reinstall it, but
omit configuring it to scan email.

This won't compromise your security since your real time scanner will catch
anything it's been updated for.
