outlook 2003 receiveing issue

Outlook 2003 - incoming mail at random will briefly show up in the
inbox but then magically dissapear. we cannot find it in any other
folder. it is behaving like the junk mail filter or some kind of rule
is moving the email to a configured location, however the junk mail
filter is turned off and the only rules that apply. any thoughts would
be appreciated.
 
Hi,

Usually the problem you are describing is caused by an Outlook filter being applied to the folder. Check to bottomn left hand corner of the window to see if it says "Filter Applied".

Another possibility could be that this user is logged into a different machine that has the default delivery point set to a .PST file. This would explain why the message appears briefly and
then disappears.
