Outlook 2003 Problmes after Vista Premium Upgrade

I recently experienced a hardware crash on DELL desktop and DELL replaced
the old system with a brand new one, but it came with Vista Home Premium
instead of the XP Pro that I was running. I have been experiencing a random
problem with Office 2007 OUTLOOK since installing on the new system last
month.

The problems that I am experiencing are with Emails not sending, I have also
found the junk email filter is not applying saved settings nor will it turn
off when turned off. The email problem is emails will appear sent, but never
arrive and never bounce back. This is too many different domains, including
my own. If I send myself 10 emails at home or work I will get about half or
better, but there is never an indication when one is not sent. I have had
this problem on two different computers, both identical software. I have
been through! Hours of technical support with AT&T as well as DELL who have
both referred me to Microsoft for assistance?

Again this is the same software that I was using on the XP machine with the
exact same connection that worked flawless so I am assuming that there is
something not compatible between Vista Home Premium and Office 2003 Student
Teacher? Again this occurs on two separate machines.

I did find with some of the contacts that if I manually typed in the email
address instead of using the stored email address in the contacts list then
the email would go through and if the email was deleted then re entered it
would continue to send? But I have a lot of contacts so re-entering does not
sound too appealing

Anybody experiencing anything similar?

So are you using Outlook 2003 or 2007 now? Your post is not conclusive on
that.

Do things work correctly in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe

If you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook, disable this
integration and try again.
Since you have a Dell with Vista, verify that they haven't preloaded it with
the heavily flawed "Outlookaddin" program by Cyberlink.

Thank you for the reply.

Sorry for the contradiction in my post.

I am running Office 2003 Teacher Student Edition

I have not tried running it in SAFE mode for it runs fine in normal mode
except for not knowing if emails are actual sent or not. There is no
indication or notification of failure and the messages all make it to the
sent box. I do receive back failures for rejected emails. I have tried
using the delivery notifications to verify delivery to the domain, but it is
also sporadic for I can send emails to myself, receive them fine and there is
never a notification of successful delivery.

I looked for the "Outlookaddin" program by Cyberlink. And it is not on my
system. The software was installed after purchase and the second machine
that I have experienced the same symptoms on while waiting for the DELL
replacement is a Gateway.

I had McAfee on the Gateway, when the DELL came in I did not have any virus
software on it and still had the problem. I ran the system for a couple of
weeks without any virus software, but I have since installed AVG and there
was no change, the problem occurs the same pre virus install as it does after
virus install.
