Outlook 2003 outbox emails stuck

Matt

Hi
I have an sbs2003 server running exchange and windows xp workstations
running outlook 2003 sp3.
4 of the workstations are at another office connected via a vpn to the sbs.
When the 4 workstations offsite send an email it sits in the outbox and
doesn't go out. Send/receive says processing but it doesn't go anywhere. Even
after I cancel the outbound email and outlook bottom right corner says
"conected" like everything is ok but there is an outlook icon on the windows
taskbar next to the time in the bottom right that says "microsoft office
outlook is requesting data from the server" and it doesn't go away.
I have checked the connection speeds for internet and vpn and it is all
fine. I have tested it after office hours aswell and the same problem
remains. I'm starting to think it is an outlook problem or exchange - any
help would be great - thanks

This could be due to a name resolution problem. Once a workstation connects
via VPN, test DNS/WINS resolution using ping and nbtstat.
