Outlook 2003 not sending e-mails

Hi All,

Anyone come across this problem where outlook 2003 acts as if it sent
the outgoing mail properly (moves them from the "Outbox" to the "Sent
Items" folder), it even shows the Sending/Receiving percentage and
whatnot in the status bar on the bottom, but did not actually send the
e-mails anywhere? Yahoo sends the same e-mails fine.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you enable logging and post the log, we can tell whether or not the mail
was actually sent.

Brian, thank you. Your suggestion helped a great deal. What happened
was that Outlook was/is sending the messages properly. But the
messages were simply being delayed a very long time at my yahoo domain
webhosting servers (where I have setup an e-mail account), sometimes
for days, before they were forwarded to their destinations. It just so
happened that I sent a test message to my other e-mail account some
days ago. It took 4 days to arrive. So, I viewed the full headers and
was able to determine that that was the problem.

Now, although I was not able to turn on the logging feature in Outlook
since I could not find where and how to do that, your suggestion
prompted me to look elswhere for some message routing trail. I found
it in the test message headers that finally arrived, as I mentioned,
after 4 days at my other e-mail account. It clearly shows that my test
message bounced around among the yahoo servers for 4 days before it was
forwarded to its destination. I sent yahoo a complaint. Hopefully,
they will answer and fix this quickly, otherwise I will take my
business elsewhere.

But now, I have a complaint about an irksome behavior in Outlook. As I
was trying to follow your suggestion and find out how and where to turn
logging on, I tried using the help feature; which was totally useless.
The problem is, when I select "Outlook Help" I get a frame on the right
side that asks me to enter search words. When I click "go" it searches
ALL of "OFFICE 2003 online help". Not -Outlook- 2003, but -Office-
2003 help. As a result, I get hundreds of matches and I am expected to
wade through them all. It is as if I can't get the "contents help" on
Outlook only. Very annoying. Or, maybe I am missing something here.

So, not only can I not find how to turn logging on, but I also need
help on how to use "OUTLOOK" help. So, I think I still need yours or
anyone else's assistance. Thank you in advance.

Help>Customer Feedback Options>Online Content allows you to control whether
or not Outlook searched Office Online.
