Greetings, I have a question regarding multiple email accounts.

Outlook 2003
Windows XP

Currently, I manage six email accounts thru Outlook, but would like to
manage about a dozen, if I can resolve this question.

I am wondering whether Outlook limits the number of email accounts.

I have been trying to send email from some of the newer accounts (numbers 5
and 6 on the Accounts drop-down). After selecting the account, the line
above "To:" correctly shows the account from which I want to send, and the
signature correctly changes to the signature configured for that account.

Problem: when the message arrives at the recipient, it has the indicated
signature, but it nonetheless reflects as having been sent from the email
address for the primary/default account.

This behavior seems very strange.

Does Outlook have a maximum number of accounts? Have I exceeded it?

You may also want to have a look at SendAccount 4Outlook.
http://www.addins4outlook.com/sendaccount/

This may solve the problem you are experiencing.

A common problem with using multiple accounts is accidentally sending out an
e-mail using the wrong account e.g. sending a business-mail using your
personal e-mail account.

Send Account lets you set a preferred account for each person you write to.

It warns if you if you try and send an e-mail to someone using the wrong
account.

Are you asking how many mail messages can be stored or how many mail
accounts you can have? You can store at least 64,000 messages in a single
folder, but that number is likely much higher for a Unicode PST. For the
latter, I don't believe the limit is published, but I know people who use
more than six accounts.
