I have the same problem and the same bucket. This has been going on about a
week now.
Rebooting may/may not help since the problem eventually comes back after
some number of hours.
I have turned off AV scanning (NAV 2005 latest updates & signatures).
I still have my Firewall (Norton 2005) on, and turning it off is a serious
issue for me. However, it is configured to let Outlook access the internet,
as it always has been.
I have done Detect & Repair.
I hesitate to uninstall/reinstall because I have had problems in the past
when doing that in previous incarnations of Outlook (.pst file got corrupted
in the process - but I had backed it up manually before doing the
uninstall/reinstall).
I have sent the error report to MS probably 20 times in recent days.

Hanging application OUTLOOK.EXE, version 11.0.6353.0, hang module hungapp,

At least once drwatson crapped out while trying to generate the report.
While Outlook is hung it does not seem to be using any of the CPU.
Here is some othe info from the Event logs that caught my eye.

The MOF file created for the Outlook service could not be loaded. The error
code returned by the MOF Compiler is contained in the Record Data. Before the
performance counters of this service can be collected by WMI the MOF file
will need to be loaded manually. Contact the vendor of this service for
additional information.
One last thing: Occasionaly I see two (2) OUTLOOK.EXE processes running, or
two (2) instances in the notification area while Outlook is hung. It may be
synchronizing folders I don't know, but the icons in the notification area
looks like the one I see when it is synchronizing.
