Outlook 2003/Exchange 2K w/Cache won't receive

I have 6 100% W2K Servers running AD and Exchange 2000, etc. We have 15
users with new WXP Pro pc's running Office 2003. All other users use Office
XP or Office 2K. All are fully patched.

2 of the Outlook 2003 users are not able to receive e-mail in the cache mode
with an .ost file. Turn off cache and remote the .ost file and they receive
mail, but it is not available to them off line.

This is the error message:
Task Microsoft Exchange Server reported error (0x80040107) Could not open
the item. Try again.

This is what I have tried so far:

1) Move all contents from the mailbox to a .pst file, thinking of a
possible corruption.
2) Integrety check on Exchange server
3) Set up a different PC with XP Pro/Office 2K, works fine
4) Set upa different PC with XP Pro/Office XP, works fine
5) OWA works fine
6) Tried all suggestions in KB 842284

Since these 2 users travel, they need to be able to have access to their
e-mail when not online.

I have administered this network for over 6 years and have yet to be
stumped, until now and I don't like it! Thinking that I should stop using
Office 2003. Have seen similar posts on various groups, but never a response
posted.
