Outlook 2003 - Delegate Meeting Request

B

Bill Foley

Hey gang,

Don't have Outlook 2003 installed yet (migrating from Lotus Notes), but was
wondering if there was a way to delegate someone else to attend a meeting
invitation I get. All I see in the options is to "Accept", Tentative", or
"Decline". I was hoping if I added someone as a Delegate that you would
have an additional option to "Delegate", but I can't find anything on the
WEB.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

Delegate access in the world of Outlook just means that you're setting
someone up with permissions to do things for you in the various subfolders of
your mailbox, usually the type of thing an administrative assistant would do.

The only thing I'm aware of that you can delegate to another in the sense I
think you're asking about is a Task. About the best you could do for a
meeting request is maybe forward it to your delegate or ask the meeting
organizer to send a meeting request to this person.

Sorry.
