Tom

I've just install a fresh copy of Office 2003 Standard on a new XP Pro
machine. I copied the 'Outlook.pst' from the old unit and everything works
fine except when the user creates a new email and clicks on the 'To'
button, it says "the contacts cannot be located". The contacts are present
but they're not being recognized when creating new emails.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Tom

Just "copying" a PST always creates problems. Outlook needs to be configured
to use another PST.
In the hopes that the damage you caused was minimal, just try enabling your
current Contacts Folder as an email address book in the properties for that
Folder. If that doesn't work, we can dig deeper.

Thanks Russ. I'll try your suggestion. In Office 2003, can I just
right-click on the 'Contacts' button to get to the properties? I'm not at
the site and have no reference.

Thanks again

Yup. That's all you'll need to do to expose that dialog. Look under the
Outlook Address Book Tab.
