Outlook 2003 clients on MS Exchange 5.5

I am having probs getting Outlook 2003 to work with
Exchange Server 5.5. There are presently 30 users on this
lan using Outlook 98 + 2000 without a hitch for several
years. I'v just bolted on 3 new PC's with XP Pro and
Outlook 2003 and thoughb there are no network settings the
Outlook client can only sometimes see the Exchange server.
It's just like a connection is dropping in and out but
there are no physical connection problems and I can
address the same server for file access etc whilst Outlook
2003 is telling me the connection has been lost. I've
tried increasing the timeout and using an IP address
instead of server name, done the hosts file etc. There is
nothing on Technet to help, it should be as easy as
falling off a log - please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

TIA

Chris

Hold CTRL and rightclick the Outlook icon is the system tray. There will be
an extra option now to analyse your connection. See if that provides you any
info.
