Outlook 2003, Cache Mode, Offline Addressbook

Outlook 2003, Exc.2003 server, cache mode enabled

If changes in the addressbook are made on the server, the
offline addressbook will never be synchronized. I can also
not modify this in the Send/Receive option. In former
versions there was the option 'Download changes since last
send/received'.

Can someone help?

is the option grayed out? it is in the send and receive settings, click the
address book button.

use tools, send/receive, download address book for a one-off sync.

I believe the offline address book is generated once per day on the
server. This is an Exchange server setting.
