LDAP addressbook search with cache mode

Hello

I use OL2K3 witch Exchange 2003 server in background and with Echange cache
mode.

Before I use cache mode it was possible to search a mail user in our
cooperate addressbook by his NT-userid via LDAP search on AD.
Example I put a NT-userid into the To addressline and click on proof
receiver. After one or two seconds I get answer with the complete display
name for outlook.
After activating cache mode this is no longer possible. I need cache mode
because we have central mail servers in germany and user alll around the
world. Sometimes connection lost. With cache mode the users can still work
offline without any interruption. After connection is established the data
will synchronize in background.

Is that a customizing problem and could be changed or must I take the
decission between LDAP search and cache mode?
