We are currently experiencing problems where items that are deleted in
Outlook 2003 Cache Mode are showing back up in OWA. The read and unread
item don't match. We applied Office 2003 Service Pack 2 but this didn't
help either. We are running Exchange 2003 SP1. Do we have to wait for
Exchange 2003 Service Pack 2?

Not likely as it should work without any SP's already :-)

Sounds like you have a damaged ost-file. Rename it to .old and have Outlook
resynch with Exchange.

Thanks that worked for me. Is there a reason why the OST because corrupted?

Well various actually. Not closing Outlook properly before shutting down
your computer is the most common one.
