Outlook 2003 automatically adding email addresses to Contacts?

Hi,

I have Outlook 2003 on my personal computer (no server). Is it possible to
have Outlook automatically add any email address that I receive or send to to
my Contacts List?

I used to be able to do this a few years ago with Outlook (?2000? maybe).

thanks,
Ron

No current versions of Outlook have the ability to add recipients
automatically to your Contacts Folder. Only the long abandoned IMO mode
of Outlook 98/2000 did that. To automatically add the email address of
people you respond to to your Contacts Folder requires code:

Thanks for the prompt reply Russ,

I am disappointed and curious. It seemed like such a useful feature why
would someone eliminate it from the program??

I am feeling very unsure of "adding code". Is your reference something that
a novice could likely do without complications or problems?

I really could benifit by that feature,

Ron

It was never actually a part of Outlook's code. This was only a feature
in IMO mode, a simplifed version that had more in common with Outlook
Express than with Outlook. It never actually used Outlook's address book
engine.
I haven't used the code myself. If you have any trouble with it, there
are plenty of people in the programming group who can walk you through it.
