Outlook 2003 as POP3

I want to setup Outlook is set as POP3, Emails are hosted with Yahoo. One of
the account got about 22K emails on server. When I setup Outlook as POP3 to
download all emails, it gets disconnected in between. And when I restart it,
it starts again from 22K. Leave a copy on server is NOT checked, still it's
not removing the copy from server. Is it going to remove after all 22K
messages are downloaded. How can I handle this situation.

What causes the disconnection? you might just need to increase the server
timeout.
Check your email settings first.

Sam,
1. If these are (e-mail address removed) or (e-mail address removed) accts you will have to
subscribe to their paid premium service for these accts.
a. A free alternative is to use a program such as !YPOPS, make sure that
you read the instructions on how to set it up properly.

b. Yahoo like to tweak the Mail program on occassion, so you may have to
update !YPOPs to a newer version, every so often.

2. Since you say that you have approx. 22,000 messages on the server, you
should go to the webmail interface and delete all the obvious junk/SPAM mail
there. Sometimes a corrupt message will block the download process.

3. If you want to keep the messages on the Yahoo server, you will need to
set the acct in Outlook to leave a copy of the message. You should do this
before attempting to download any messages from Yahoo.

4. If you have already separated your messages into individual folders on
Yahoo, you will need to move them back into the main INBOX folder there.
Again do this after you, set the Yahoo Mail acct to leave messages on the
server. If you use the !YPOPS there is a setting in the program download
messages from user created folders in Yahoo Mail.

5. In Outlook, make sure that you set the time out for this acct to at least
5 mins, I have mine set closer to 10 mins, but that is a personal choice.
