Outlook 2003 and Exchange

S

Scott Weber

I have a laptop that is running outlook 2003 on XP, and it connects to an
exchange server. Every time I close outlook the main program will
disappear, however it leaves an icon in the task bar (lower right). When I
click on it here is the message I get:

Outlook is not responding. If you are using exchange server email account,
cancel pending server requests by clicking the outlook icon in the
notifications area and then clicking cancel server requests on the short cut
menu.

Couple things here..
1. Cannot locate this notifications area.
2. You cannot open up outlook again unless you end the process with task
manager.
3. Any one know what could cause this and how to resolve..

thanks for your help,
Scott
