Outlook 2003 Accounts

Even though I have set my account as the default for sending out email, if
another user in the family sends out an email on their account, then that
account becomes the default for all email that gets sent out thereafter.
How can I
make the default stick? I am using WinXP Pro.

We are sharing the outlook profiles. My wife, the other person, is not very
computer saavy and this is the easiest method for her as far as I know. I am
still unclear as to why making a particular account the default simply
doesn't work. It is what I expect anyway.

do you each have your own outlook profiles or are you sharing one?

You would be better off using windows logons and fast user switching.

is her account marked as the default when this happens? Also - is it doing
this only on replies or new mail too?

you have a shared mailbox where you can download her email when you log on?

Set her account to send but not receive email. Outlook replies on the
account mail arrives on and when she sends, it's also downloading.

Ctrl+Alt+S or go to tools, send/receive and browse the menu for Define
Send/Receive settings. Select the accounts and click Edit... select her
account and remove the checks to include it in a receive.

Set her account to send but not receive email. Outlook replies on the
account mail arrives on and when she sends, it's also downloading.
