Outlook 2002

Nancy

I work from the home for a company that would like my
outgoing emails to appear as they were sent from the
company. I was able to change the outgoing identity in
earlier versions of Outlook, but can't seem to in 2002.

Actual: (e-mail address removed)
Desired alias: (e-mail address removed)

I'm able to change the reply setting, so when someone
hits the reply button, it's sent to "(e-mail address removed)" but
can't seem to send them information from an alias.

Where is the outgoing setting?
Thanks!
Nancy

Outlook does not have "identities".

Desired alias: (e-mail address removed)

Your ability to do this depends completely on your ISP (cable.net). You can
try by modifying the mail account you're using (Click Tools>E-mail Accounts.
Select the "View or change existing e-mail accounts" radio button and click
"Next>". Select the (e-mail address removed) account and click "Change". Enter
(e-mail address removed) in the "E-mail Address" field. Click "Next>", then "Finish")
or setting up a new mail account with the desired properties. (Click
Tools>E-mail Accounts. Select the "Add a new e-mail account" radio button
and click "Next>". Select the "POP3" (or your desired type) radio button
and click "Next>". Fill in the details, entering (e-mail address removed) in the
"E-mail Address" field. Click "Next>", then "Finish".

Edit your Send/Receive Group settings to handle this account as appropriate.
When you try to send using this account, keep in mind that your ISP may
reject the message because it may allow only "cable.net" addresses to send
mail using its mail routers. This is an anti-SPAM measure taken by many
ISPs.
