Outlook 2002 Rules Wizard - 2nd Request

B

Bill Smart

I am using Outlook 2002 on Windows XP.

1. I have deleted my EXCEPTION LIST (in which you can
list domain names) from the RULES WIZARD. How can I
restore, reconstruct, replace or download a new one?
What is the file called and where does it go?

2. It appears the rules processing when using the
CONTACTS ADDRESS BOOK only recognized the EMAIL1 address
and none of the others. Am I doing something wrong, or
is this a 'feature' (bug).

3. I would like to construct a file which I can list
full email addresses that I want to exempt from rules
processing, like you can do with the CONTACTS ADDRESS
BOOK. I created a PERSONAL ADDRESS BOOK for that
purpose, but the rules processing appeared to ignore it.
Any suggestions?

Thanks...Bill Smart (e-mail address removed)

1 - The file is called (of all things) Exception List.TXT and it goes in
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
directory. I don't think there's one around for download since it's a
personal sort of thing.

2 - Not sure about this one but have you tried using each address of the
person in the rule

3 - Do you mean you want to auto-populate the Exception List?
