Outlook 2002 issues - slowness and inability to find PST

Hi there,

I had a user call yesterday to tell us that his Outlook took 3 minutes to
open. We uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook for him. After which he says
that Outlook was unable to find his PST. We found it for him and though he
fine. He called this morning an stated that his Outlook was still taking
upwards of three minutes to open and even though we mapped his PST yesterday;
the mapping is gone today and he can't get to the PST. I need to get this
guy working so any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks,
Liela

Mapped as in the PST is on a network drive instead of kept locallly? That's
not a supported method, and you can see why. Not only would Outlook have
difficulty finding the PST, the smallest interruption of network traffic can
cause corruption. The PST needs to be kept on the local machine.

Outlook must have uninterrupted read/write access to the PST.
