OUTLOOK 2002 hangs on connection

I am running Windows XP Home edition, and whenever I open
outlook I get an error message "The application has
requested Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way"

Clicking "OK" closes Outlook and when I click on the icon
again it opens agian straight away without difficulty.

How can I by-pass this false start every time?

Hi John,

I woudl request you to update your Windows XP. There could be something
else that is causing the issue to Outlook.
Windows XP updates are available as free downloads. To obtain updates,
visit the following Microsoft Web site:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
