Outlook 2002 crash when checking http mail

B

Bill Z.

I'm running Outlook 2002 SP3 on a machine with Windows XP
Professional. All service packs and patches are up to date. I have my
MSN mail set up in Outlook. It has worked fine until a couple of days
ago. Now, everytime I check my MSN mail, Outlook crashes (and attempts
to send an error message to Microsoft.) It restarts evertime, but the
problem continues. Doesn't matter if I'm checking my MSN Inbox, Sent
mail etc.. Outlook crashes every time.

Otherwise, my Outlook Exchange Server mail works fine.

I've added no new programs recently and have scanned for viruses. I've
deleted the MSN email and reinstalled it.

Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

Just a thought... Could be several things in my opinion.
First thing I would try is removing the TCPIP stack,
restarting, then reloading and reconfiguring the MS TCPIP
after the restart. Something probably corrupted your
Winsock files. ONE other quick thought is that the
Outlook 2003 permissions have changed. You may want to
first delete your Outlook profile then bring it back in.

If you loaded Office XP and already had Outlook 2003 - try
this first.

Good luck... Terry
