Outlook 2000 very very slow

My Outlook 2000 on Window XP is really driving me crazy.

I've been using Incredimail but am switching to Outlook from 1-Aug-08. As i
am unable to import email from Incredimail, therefore there's no email in my
outlook at all.. it's totally new...

But... it took almost 1 MINUTE to open a mail or switching a mail within the
same inbox folder, before i can read it at the preview panel. If switching
to another folder, it took about 90 seconds before i can view at preview
panel.

I have uninstalled then re-install but there's no improvement at all.
Can anyone help? This is really driving me crazy and making me so
inefficient!!

Well...how much RAM do you have? Do you have any add-ins installed?
What anti-virus software are you using?

Hi Ben

I have 1GB RAM and using Symantec Antivirus 10.1.
I have uncheck "Net Folders" last few days leaving 2 ticks on the other 2
add-ins :
1) Symantec AntiVirus 10.1
2) Symantec AntiVirus Outlook Protection

I have just uncheck Symantec AntiVirus Outlook Protection then restart
Outlook and now everything seems to work fine and speedy!!! Really thx for
your reminder!! Millions of thanks!!
